Size Guide - How to Measure

For the most accurate fit, please take your measurements while wearing well-fitting undergarments. Use a soft measuring tape and ensure it lies flat against your body without being too tight or too loose.

BUST

Wrap the measuring tape around the fullest part of your bust, typically across the nipple line. Keep the tape parallel to the floor and ensure it's snug but not tight. Breathe normally and take the measurement at the end of a natural exhale.

SHOULDER WIDTH

Measure straight across your back from one shoulder point to the other. The shoulder point is where your shoulder meets your arm - you can feel this as the bony prominence at the top of your shoulder. Keep the tape straight and level across your back.

WAIST

Find your natural waistline - this is typically the narrowest part of your torso, usually about 1-2 inches above your navel. Wrap the tape around this point, keeping it parallel to the floor. The tape should be snug but comfortable, allowing you to breathe easily.

HIPS

Measure around the fullest part of your hips and bottom, typically about 7-8 inches below your natural waistline. Keep your feet together and the measuring tape parallel to the floor. This should be the widest point of your lower body.

HEIGHT

Stand against a flat wall with your heels together and back straight. Have someone mark the top of your head against the wall, then measure from the floor to this mark. Alternatively, use a stadiometer if available.

INSEAM

Measure from the crotch seam down to your desired pant length along the inside of your leg. For the most accurate measurement, use a pair of well-fitting pants and measure from the crotch seam to the hem.

OUTSEAM

Measure from your natural waistline down the outside of your leg to your desired pant length. This measurement runs along the side seam of your pants, from waist to ankle.

ARM LENGTH

With your arm slightly bent, measure from the shoulder point (where shoulder meets arm) down to your desired sleeve length. For full-length sleeves, measure to your wrist bone. For three-quarter sleeves, measure to about 2-3 inches above your wrist.

UNDERBUST

Measure directly under your bust, where your bra band would sit. Keep the tape snug and parallel to the floor. This measurement is particularly important for fitted bodices and structured garments.

DRESS LENGTH

Measure from the base of your neck (where a necklace would naturally fall) straight down to your desired dress length. You can also measure from your natural waistline down to where you'd like the hem to fall.

SHOULDER TO WAIST

Measure from the shoulder point straight down to your natural waistline. This helps determine proper bodice length and ensures the waist seam hits at the right spot on your torso.

BUST SPAN

Measure the horizontal distance between your bust points (center of each nipple). This measurement is crucial for proper dart placement and ensuring adequate bust room in fitted garments.

MEASURING TIPS FOR BEST RESULTS

  • Use a flexible measuring tape - cloth or plastic work best
  • Have someone help you - it's difficult to measure yourself accurately
  • Wear proper undergarments - the same type you'll wear with the garment
  • Stand naturally - don't suck in or push out
  • Keep the tape level - ensure it's parallel to the floor for circumference measurements
  • Don't add ease - we'll add the appropriate ease for each design
  • Measure twice - double-check important measurements for accuracy
